Discover the breathtaking Quelccaya Glacier, the world’s largest tropical glacier, on a full-day tour from Cusco. The adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel and a drive to Phinaya, where you’ll take a short hike to a natural viewpoint overlooking the glacier. Day 1 – Cusco / Quelccaya Glacier
The adventure begins with a 4:00 a.m. pick-up from your hotel in Cusco and a drive to Cusipata, where we'll enjoy a local breakfast. Then, we'll continue through breathtaking Andean landscapes to reach the Suyuparina sector of Quelccaya Glacier, the world's largest tropical glacier.
From the access point, we'll hike for approximately 15 to 20 minutes to reach the glacier, where you'll have free time to explore, visit ice caves, and capture incredible photographs. After the visit, we'll enjoy a typical Andean lunch in the community of Phinaya.
On the way back to Cusco, we'll stop at the spectacular Sibinacocha Lagoon, renowned for its crystal-clear waters and stunning scenery. The tour concludes with arrival at the Plaza de Armas in Cusco between 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., approximately.
