Day 1: Cusco - Ollantaytambo - Intipunku
Early Departure (7:00 – 7:30 a.m.)
- Transfer from Cusco or your hotel in the Sacred Valley to the starting point near Ollantaytambo.
Ascent to Inti Punku (Sun Gate)
- A 3-4 hour hike along Inca trails from the Cachiccata area to Inti Punku.
- Along the way, you will see ancient Inca quarries, agricultural terraces, Andean flora and fauna, and receive explanations from your guide.
Exploration of Inti Punku
- Free time for photos and to appreciate the Andean landscape and Inca architecture.
Descent and Visit to Ollantaytambo
- Descent to the town (approximately 2 hours of walking).
- Guided tour of the Ollantaytambo Archaeological Park — architecture, history, terraces, and temples.
Return
- Finally, you will return to Cusco, arriving in the late afternoon or evening.
